CSI's "RECLAIMED" Honu House room completed

Tuesday, June 5, 2018

The Honu Home, operated by the Mental Health Association of Nebraska, is a peer-operated respite offering stabilizing support for individuals in the community. On June 1st and 2nd, teams adopted rooms to decorate as part of the “Recovery Room Redo Challenge” competition. The challenge was a perfect forum to showcase CSI’s capabilities.

CSI’s room is named “RECLAIMED”. The room features reclaimed, recycled and reused materials. Of particular interest is ash hardwood used for the bedroom furniture. It was reclaimed from trees threatened by the emerald ash borer by the Nebraska Forest Service. Six CSI shops and CSI headquarters collaborated to design and manufacture items for the room. The completed room was a powerful demonstration of the talent and dedication of our workforce and staff.
